Breast Augmentation in Miami, FL

Breast augmentation, involves using breast implants (Saline vs. Silicone) or fat to increase the size of your breasts, to restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy, to achieve a more rounded shape, or to improve natural breast size asymmetry. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia.

Breast augmentation can:

• Increase fullness and projection of your breasts

• Improve balance of breast and hip contours

• Compensating for reduced breast mass after pregnancy or surgery

• Correcting a congenital breast defect.

Based on your anatomy and aesthetic desires, Dr. Gottenger will develop a customized plan for body habitus. Having realistic expectations for your breast augmentation surgery is important to discuss:

• Saline implants vs. Silicone implants

• Breast implant sizes

• Location of Incision

• Over or under the muscle

How long does the breast augmentation take to perform?

Surgical times for breast augmentation may range from one and a half to two hours.

Is the breast augmentation a painful procedure?

You will experience some pain the first day or two, although this is easily controlled with pain pills. Some tightness in the breast area is also normal as your body adjusts to the implants.

When can I get back to my exercise routine?

A good general guideline is that you should avoid heavy lifting for 2-3 weeks. Moderate exercise such as walking is allowed on the first week. Vigorous exercise such as jogging or aerobics may be resumed at 4 weeks. You will most likely be able to return to work within a few days but you should avoid any strenuous activity at work for at least a couple of weeks.
